Lingvis in Iceland
Creating a new way of learning Icelandic with Iceland national public-service broadcasting organization RÚV
Our Work in Iceland
The goal of the project is to promote the integration of people with diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds into Icelandic society by ensuring access to digital language training of recognized quality, based on material from RÚV's media.
Context
The service was created in the result of a collaboration with Språkkraft, a non-profit Swedish company that has specialized in the design of a language technology solution where people can choose their own language proficiency level.

The Minister of Culture and Trade, the Minister of Social Affairs and the Labor Market and the Minister of Education and Children's Affairs signed an agreement with RÚV earlier this year for the project, which greatly improves the access of all age groups to diverse material for learning Icelandic at all skill levels.
