LingvisPlay services Yle Kielikoulu and Yle Språkskolan provided language learning in Finland based on Yle TV-programs

Our Work in Finland

Lingvis supports the learning of both national languages in Finland, Finnish and Swedish. Since 2020, Finland’s public service broadcasting corporation Yle uses the LingvisPlay format to support language learning based on its wide range of television programming, through the services Yle Kielikoulu and Yle Språkskolan.

Supporting activities forand including marketing and communication is provided through our sister organization Lingvis Finland Ry.

Lingvis is a free learning app for those who are eager to learn the Finnish or Swedish language through current media content from Finland.

Yle Kielikoulu

Yle Kielikoulu offered media-integrated language learning of the Finnish language, and was available as a web app, as well as apps for Android and iOS.

The service was closed in May 2025 as part of Yle's cost-saving program.
